Dr Troy Gianduzzo is the recipient of numerous international, national and state prizes for urology including prizes awarded by the American Urological Association, Engineering and Urology Society, World Congress of Endourology, Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He has published widely in leading
international journals and his research has been internationally recognised. He is a reviewer for a number of national and international journals and has been appointed as faculty at meetings such as the World Congress of Endourology and SWL.
Dr Gianduzzo is a specialist in robotic and laparoscopic surgery and was the first internationally-trained urologist to offer key-hole radical prostatectomy in Queensland. He has completed a Masters of Philosophy through the University of Queensland focussing on advanced nerve-sparing techniques in Robotic Radical Prostatectomy.
Dr Gianduzzo has almost 10 years of experience in robotic and laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and has worked in Australia, the USA and the UK under leading international authorities such as Professor Inderbir Gill (USA) and Dr Christopher Eden (UK). He has published the lowest positive surgical margin rate in Australia for organ confined disease for Robotic Radical Prostatectomy, in conjunction with his colleague Dr Charles Chabert. Similarly his potency and continence outcomes compare favourably to published international series.
Dr Gianduzzo specialises in Prostate Cancer treatment and screening as well as the treatment of other urological cancers such as kidney and bladder cancer and he also treats general urological conditions such as benign prostate enlargement and urinary stone disease.
