Dr. Troy Gianduzzo, Brisbane Urologist - Prostate Cancer, Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy, Australia


Specialising in Prostate Cancer, Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy and urological malignancies Dr Troy Gianduzzo is a Brisbane urologist who trained under world authorities in prostate cancer in the UK and USA and is the recipient of numerous state, national and international prizes for urology. He is the first urologist in Queensland to offer laparoscopic (key-hole) radical prostatectomy following dedicated international fellowship training in this technique. With further international experience in prostate brachytherapy, Dr Gianduzzo is a prostate cancer specialist whose practice provides complete prostate cancer care. He also has a strong interest in the treatment of all urological cancers, and in addition treats general urological conditions such as benign prostate enlargement and urinary stone disease. Dr Gianduzzo has published widely in leading international journals and has presented at international conferences including the American Urology Association Annual Meeting, World Congress of Endourology and SWL, and Engineering & Urology Society Annual Meeting.

International training in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy is known to improve operative outcomes and shorten the learning curve associated with the procedure. The following article reports the results of Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy as reported by myself in conjunction with my colleague Dr Charles Chabert at the John Flynn Hospital, Gold Coast.
